The New Journey One Eighty

Journey One Eighty.

It began with our 180-day journey through Europe. Now it’s time for something new.

It’s your turn. Your turn to share your story.

You have one don’t you?

Of course! We all do.

It’s probably messy. Some parts might be ugly or indescribably painful. But your story could be exactly what someone needs to hear to let them know that they can get through a tough situation. Your story could be a part of leading them to to take a courageous step toward a dream they have always had. Your story could be what inspires them to do the thing they have been putting aside for years. Your story could bring light to someone’s darkest days. It could bring hope, encouragement, and healing to someone that you may not even know.

You have a story tell. Are you willing to share it?

Journey One Eighty will be sharing stories, or journeys, of people. We will share journeys of travel, friendship, loss, love, heartache, reconciliation, dreams coming true, dreams being crushed, reaching toward new goals, learning something new, and many more. Our goal is to share at least one story each week.

Will you join us?

This is a new journey for me. And to be honest, I’m a little scared. My motto of 2020 has come to be “Day by Day”, and that’s what I’m doing here. I’m taking one step at a time and trusting that God will lead the way on this new endeavor.

When I was posting almost daily about our journey through Europe, I kept thinking about what a gift it was to share about our experiences, however, I wondered if there were many others that might be aching to tell their story, but just haven’t known who to tell it to or how to tell it. Of course, we can share parts of our story to people we meet or as the opportunity comes up in front of us. But sometimes, it just helps to be challenged to write it out and to have a place to share it.

Journey One Eighty wants to invite others to tell stories of encouragement and inspiration, of truth and healing. Then, we want to share those stories to help and encourage others.

I would love for you to be a part of this new endeavor! You can do any or all of these to help support Journey One Eighty.

Read the stories.

We have some pretty amazing stories lined up already, and there are many more to come! I would love for you to read them and be encouraged and inspired like I already have been.

Share the stories.

Tell your friends about these stories and share the blog on social media. You never know, the story you share may be just what someone needs to hear that day.

Reflect on your story.

Again, you have a story. I encourage you to reflect on your journey of life and see how you have grown and changed because of it.

Write your story.

There are many benefits of writing your story. It exercises your brain, encourages creativity, helps process emotions, and gives a gift to your family to have it written down. It takes time, but it’s worth it.

Share your story.

Your story can’t encourage, inspire, and help someone unless it is shared. You can tell your story with your spoken or written voice. You can share your written story to friends and family in a journal, write a book, share on social media, or on a platform like Journey One Eighty. If you would like information about sharing your story on this blog, please contact me.

I’m excited. I’m scared. I have all kinds of thoughts going through my head right now. Again, I’m taking one step at a time, aiming to please God, and excited to see where this goes!

“So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.”

2 Corinthians 5:6-9 (ESV)
