Coronavirus Update

Hi friends! Some of you have asked how we are doing overseas during the coronavirus outbreak. I wanted you to know that we are doing just fine! We have decided to stay in Brasov, Romania for at least two more weeks, then evaluate the situation. Brasov is a city with a small town feel. The girls love it here and we think we could settle here longer if we needed to as well.

The vibe here is changing. We can tell that people are staying inside more and when they are out, they’re being extra careful. Schools will be closed throughout Romania through next week at least, public tours have been canceled, and it looks like some shops are not open that would normally be busy. Thankfully, there are many ways we can get out without being in close proximity to lots of people. All in all, we think this is a good place to be right now. We didn’t necessarily plan to visit Romania, but here we are...over two weeks in and at least two more to go! We really are taking it step by step and trusting that God will give us wisdom and peace as we consider the next place we go.

We’ve been watching what’s going on in the States (and the world) and are blown away at how fast things are changing each day. From event and vacation cancellations to empty shelves in stores and online teaching ideas for kids being sent home...things are different and we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I’m so very thankful that we have one place to put our hope. He does not grow tired or weary or ever have a moment of not knowing what to do. My hope and peace is in Him! Thank you, God!

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” - Isaiah 40:28 (ESV)
