Day 6 | Nine Mile Tour through London

London, Day 6—Saturday was a really big day! We walked over nine miles and saw lots of really cool things! We began by walking through Regents Park which was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing lots of different kinds of dogs being walked and several pretty views. After leaving the park we headed to Dunkin Donuts. Anna loves donuts so Nathan found this spot especially for her:)

We then headed to Hyde Park and enjoyed seeing the Serpentine Sackler Gallery and the Princess Diana Memorial. The memorial was beautiful...it has such a feminine and delicate design and seems to be a good representation of her. And the sun was shining perfectly to make this a beautiful extra-special stop.

After that we visited the Victoria and Albert Museum and saw lots of old jewelry, sculptures, and artwork. We had pizza for dinner then went to Harrods, a huge department store.

We did a lot today! One of my favorite things about being in a big city is being able to walk or take the subway to where you need to go...and I love doing it with my family!

Below is a short description of the places we visited.

Regents Park—This Park is just a block away from our apartment. It is one of the four royal parks of London and contains Regents University London and the London Zoo.

Hyde Park—one of the Royal parks in the city. It contains the Princess Diana Memorial and the Sackler Gallery. It used to be a hunting ground and over time it has hosted parades, protests, rock concerts, and duels. Now it hosts a Winter Wonderland carnival and seems to be a great places for families.

Serpentine Sackler Gallery—The new addition was designed by Zaha Hadid, one of the most famous women architects. The main room was lit in bright green and was very reflective. This gallery is in Hyde Park.
