Day 27 | Chur, Switzerland
Day 27, Chur—Today we hung around the apartment. We did all the laundry because we won’t have a washer for a week. It took at least an hour for me to figure out how to get the washing machine to work right. I’ve never had to turn on the water pipe for the washer to work. Finally, I figured it out. I’m learning lots of lessons these days!
We worked on some school stuff and then got out to walk around town for a while. Chur feels like a ski town...it’s pretty small, close to the mountains, and a lot of people are carrying skis around the train station:) We found another really cool playground. This one was like a miniature Gathering Place (a huge well designed playground and community space in Tulsa). Again, the girls loved it and had so much fun!
By the time we left the playground, it was dark so we went home and had chicken noodle soup for dinner. Since we’ve had our own kitchen since London, we’ve been eating in a lot more. We keep our meals pretty simple, so we don’t have to throw out things as we move around or have to carry a lot of food from place to place. We’ve had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, eggs and toast, pasta, chicken noodle soup (packaged as a mix), cheese/fruit/crackers. We usually have breakfast, a main meal, and a snacky meal each day.
