Day 22 | Hofburg Palace

Day 22, Vienna—We’ve had a busy few days and haven’t had the best internet connection, so I’m trying to catch up on recording this week. We did make it to Zürich just fine...more on that later.

This particular day we visited the Hofburg Palace. Again, we couldn’t take pictures of the inside of the palace, only of the sets of dishes and table pieces that were used there. It was really interesting the learn about the family who lived there though.

Here we learned about Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elizabeth of Austria, also known as Sisi. Sisi struggled being a part of the royal family....an ongoing problem in this world.

We enjoyed the walk home, seeing new areas we haven’t seen before. We even walked through a market that had lots of enticing foods and products.

We’ve really enjoyed being in Vienna. It’s a lot smaller and less busy than London and Paris, so we’ve enjoyed the slower pace.
