Day 44 | Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola at Campus Martius

IMG_8636.JPEG

Day 44, Rome—Today we went to the Church of St. Ignatius. The interesting thing about this church is that it has a fake dome. They couldn’t afford to build the actual dome, so they had one painted on the ceiling to make it look like there was one. As you are walking to the dome, it looks pretty realistic. After you walk past it, it looks like it’s upside down. On our way home we walked through piazza Navona and went inside the church there...Sant’Agnese in Agone.
